COVERS
(2019-21)

since 2018, i have developed my solo project electronic child, which explores the intersection of digital technology and art through sound and visuals. inspired by a cultural landscape where the digital and organic increasingly merge, with the project focusing on crafting textured, melancholic soundscapes alongside groovy, energetic electronica. electronic child aims to express the convergence of the natural and synthetic through hybrid audiovisual works aiming to evoke movement and a sense of tactile digitality.

wage theft is an anarchist punk collective dedicated to using music as a tool for social change and political expression. rooted in principles of creative autonomy and experimentation, the group challenges stylistic conventions and embraces a DIY ethos. we are firmly aligned with causes such as palestinian liberation, workers’ rights, and the support of queer and trans communities, aiming to confront systematic oppression through both our sound and presence. our work aims to fuse musical activism with performance, cultivating spaces where art and resistance intersect.

VARIOUS WORKS
(2019-25)

hello, i'm daithí - an irish sound artist, working primarily in digital music production with a strong interest in sound design, song writing, and video production.entirely self-taught, and driven by a creative curiosity for sound, i began making music at 13, and released my first independent electronica album at 16 under the alias "electronic child" i released my first independent electronica album. since then, i've released two further albums and several standalone tracks, continuing to develop my skills in music production and composition.my background in film studies and BA in digital music and sound arts from the university of brighton have deepened my understanding of sound as a form of artistic expression. i create works that aim to explore the relationship between sonic and visual media and mediums, with a focus on textural elements and emotional depth.in 2023, i co-founded wage theft, a collaborative project that blends political song writing with live performance through a more instrumentally-driven approach.i’m inspired by a desire to create meaning from within a consumer-driven culture. my work often leans into techno-organic aesthetics, combining analogue media with digital textures, through digital tools, and exploring how technology shapes our human experience, visceral and emotional. i’m especially interested in crafting immersive, audiovisual experiences that offer an escape from the stillness of everyday life.i’m currently seeking opportunities in music production, sound design, or creative/media collaboration. please don’t hesitate to reach out — i’d love to connect.
